February Challenge: Prompt Fills

In January we solicited your prompts, and now we're ready to unleash a great refreshing wave of prompts upon you. Take a giddy breath and click the cut links below!

All of February we welcome anyone to take up a prompt and fill it (no need to make a comment/post "claiming" it) (anyone can fill requests--even if you didn't post any prompts; we welcome all comers). Any prompt may be filled more than once. There are no size restrictions on fills: you can post an epic, a haiku, a doodle, a photorealistic oil painting, a pithy drabble, etc.

Filled prompts can be posted to the saiyuki_wk_au comm by the creator via their own posting. (Please do not post fills in this post; this is just where the list of prompts lives.)

If you like one of the prompts below but have a burrrning question about it, you're welcome to ask questions of the prompter in the comments section of this post. We can't guarantee you'll get an answer from your anonymous prompter, but it's worth a shot? Otherwise just take these prompts up in the fun and creative spirit in which they were offered, and let your instincts guide you. (You are also ttly welcome to comment here with "yay!"s and discussion, of course!)

Prompt: The Sanzo-ikkou are florists by day, assassins by night! They deny dark beasts their tomorrows, and Hakkai makes really, really anal retentive floral displays.


AU: Modern, historical, or future AU about classical musicians
Fandom: Saiyuki Gaiden
Pairing: Goujun/Tenpou
Prompt: I've always wanted to see a GouTen AU where Tenpou is a pianist/composer and Goujun is the cellist who becomes his muse. Doesn't matter to me if it's a modern or historical AU, or even in some future someone feels like dreaming up. I'd really like to see them be from different countries at least, however, so that the themes of foreign/outsider and xenophilia still carry through, and I do prefer Goujun on top if sex enters the picture. A bazillion super-awesomeness bonus points for including some Beethoven - his Cello Sonata in A Major is one of my favorites. ♥

Prompt: Studious otaku loner Hakkai, angry outcast punk Gojyo. When Hakkai ingeniously--though unexpectedly--assists Gojyo during an incident of bullying, they form an uneasy and charged alliance. (You can make this sparkly shojo-esque crack or take it into dark Lord of the Flies territory, or anywhere inbetween--your call.)


AU: Contemporary, give or take a few decades if it tickles your fancy. Circa 1950 might be sort of fun.

Prompt: Long haul driver Gojyo sees unexplained lights in the night sky. Soon after, he picks up a hitchhiker (Hakkai) who seems a bit out of touch with reality. Bonus points for over the top cracky humor.

Fandom: Saiyuki - Gaiden crossed over with Yami no Matseui
Pairing: probably gen, but if the writer wants to make any pairing part of the fic, fine.
Prompt: Any Gaiden character(s) as starship colonist(s), fleeing the paradise that is Earth. The colonists are in deepsleep, which is so close to death the shinigami can visit them in their dreams, but only while they're within a certain distance from Earth. I'd like an upbeat ending. No non-con, please.


AU: Superheroes AU

Pairing: Hakkai/Gojyo
Prompt: The Sanzo ikkou are superheroes. This can be before they all are charged with protecting the planet by some higher force, or perhaps they accidentally come together against the supervillian Gyumaoh. It could be about how Hakkai and Gojyo meet and discover their powers are quite compatible, or it could be some time later (while they're fighting both crime and their attraction to each other!). Anything from kooky and fun to angsty and serious is welcome, including pwp or ambitious gen narrative. Dub-con is ok but no non-con. You can also use any superhero trope you like if you want.


AU: fantasy Caribbean (or Indian Ocean, or ...) any time after the eighteenth century

Prompt: A pirate hoard has (apparently?) attracted a dragon. Konzen is an important man in the local islands (perhaps descended collaterally from a Pirate Queen), and is drafted to deal with the situation. Enter Tenpou, who would rather talk with a dragon than kill it. I'd prefer a happy ending, and definitely prefer no main character deaths. No non-con, please.


AU: groundhog day/ but more like supernatural's the mystery spot

Prompt: ok so i have read this au in many fandoms but never for saiyuki so i want gojyo and hakkai to not be together at first they have to realize they love each other to end the time warp. so it can be done from either hakkai's or gojyo's point of view but it would be cool if they both experienced the repeating days and both have to come to the realization.
so for example gojyo gets stuck in a repeating day where hakkai dies everyday no matter what he does to try and keep him safe its only after he realizes he loves hakkai that the day stops repeating.
sex is cool but feelings are what's important here, and angst :)

Prompt: Fuck or die -- Any kind of situation that leads to 58 having reluctant but fantastic sex is welcome (a third party forcing them, any kind of drug or poison that requires sex as antidote, an alien invasion that can only be repelled by the chosen ones having hot sex, undercover mission with the risk of blowing their cover if they don't fuck... every lame excuse is welcome). (I don't care the definition of temptation, though. They could already be fuck-buddies or never haved touched each other as long as the "feelings" department is new to them).

Prompt: Young people's blind double dates can go horribly wrong. On the bright side, when the sparks fly between the wrong pairings, good things sometimes ignite. In other words, their friends set up Crawford/Gojyo and Hakkai/Schuldig, and there is much awkwardness and fumbling when the best friends try to navigate not to offend one another while horribly attracted to the wrong red/black-haired counterpart. Pairing: well...lots hopefully XD, but anon would definitely like to see Gojyo, Hakkai, Crawford and Schuldig involved. Please, however, feel free to include as many or as few characters from both verses as you'd like (in any order or role you'd like).
Prompt: Harem Boys! The Weiss/Schwarz/Saiyuki boys are members of an imperial harem. The emperor (or empress!) can be one of the established characters or an OC, anon isn't picky. Show the boys interacting, going about their day, serving their master...whatever. Just lots of pretty boys in pretty clothes doing pretty thing and excelling at their jobs of being kept men.
Notes: Dub-con is okay, non-con not so much. Also, please don't kill anyone. ♥ Angst is fine, mangst is fine (Yohji can even cry copiously with his delicious tears) and I'm even cool with imperfect endings. Just no death. Kthxloveyouyay! :)

Hey, I'm considering taking on the Saiyuki superheroes AU--"The Sanzo ikkou are superheroes. This can be before they all are charged with protecting the planet by some higher force, or perhaps they accidentally come together against the supervillian Gyumaoh. It could be about how Hakkai and Gojyo meet and discover their powers are quite compatible, or it could be some time later (while they're fighting both crime and their attraction to each other!). Anything from kooky and fun to angsty and serious is welcome, including pwp or ambitious gen narrative. Dub-con is ok but no non-con. You can also use any superhero trope you like if you want." Prompter, do you mind if I cross this over with Loveless (casting the Saiyuki characters in a Loveless-like universe with fighters and sacrifices), or would you prefer I not?
