WK Fanart - Welcome to the Circus

      Fandom: Weiß Kreuz
      Rating: G
Characters: Crawford. You'll have to take my word on it.
A/N: Hopefully the first of many. We'll see, because this shit took me the whole evening. I only had a little lamp to take the pic and cardboard reflects like crazy, so the lighting is fixed with Photoshop because the lamp destroyed it, so the texture and colour have suffered from it. I'll probably take another pic tomorrow with diffused natural light.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the Greatest Espectacle in the World

Wow, this is amazing! What a cool idea to draw on cardboard. I love the texture, crowd, lighting.

Of course it's Crawford :) Who else has so much dignity and grace? The figure ozzes confidence :)

Very cool! I love the use of the cardboard to add depth and texture, and how Brad's body contrasts with all of it. Neat!!

Cool idea, it fits Crawford :D And the texture looks really good, too - even without natural light.

You never cease to amaze me with your choice of surfaces... I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how you could do this to yourself! Weren't you ripping your hair out dealing with that heavy texture? And it reflected like crazy so it had to be, at least, heat pressed - which makes it kind of waterproof!

Still amazed at what you do with what's on hand.

Like the epic scale of it. The figures in the stands almost look like runes... The gesture in that teeny figure of Brad is spot on and I like the loose gestural quality in the shadow. Let the (rest of) the show begin!

Yeah! I'm with [livejournal.com profile] whymzycal here: the cardboard (hooray for being a broke but fantastic artist!) has a distinct old-poster vibe! It's marvellous, really. I love Crawford (it's him, of course!!) and his pose and shadow!!

HOW??? This is amazing, honestly. I agree with what has been said above of this being amazingly evocative. Just beautiful! And that Crawford there, OMG. I'm asking, HOW??? How do you manage all this upon cardboard. There's so much atmosphere in this, so much. I can BREATHE that arena. I just can't stop staring at this, it's absolutely gorgeous.

And I do hope it is first of many!!! Just, wow.

OMG this is awesome! The lighting totally made the atmosphere. And the details! I mean, Brad's shadow!

Really looking forward to the rest of the series! <3

This is beautiful! Allow me to join the chorus of comments praising the cardboard — sometimes taking a risk pays off brilliantly, even when you think it won't. Amazing work! :)
